Presented by Wichita Jazz Festival
The Wichita Jazz Festival celebrates its 46th year with the headlining act of guitarist Pat Metheny with drummer Matt Wilson and bassist Martin Wind at the Orpheum. The band will play the first set as a trio and will then be joined by the Wichita State University Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Mark Laycock for a set of arrangements with strings by Alan Broadbent. Metheny has a long history with the Wichita Jazz Festival, first playing as a teenager when Gary Burton was a featured artist.
