Movie-wise, there has never been anything like “THE APARTMENT” love-wise, laugh-wise or otherwise-wise!

Join us for the last event in our 2025 Anniversary Film Series, a screening of the non-traditional holiday classic, The Apartment! Come early for a fun film introduction by We Harmon Sisters! Local filmmakers and classic film buffs, Charity and Sara Harmon, always have interesting facts and trivia to share and we look forward to welcoming them back to discuss Billy Wilder’s Oscar-winning film.

Jack Lemmon stars as C.C. Baxter, an insurance clerk who, in hopes of climbing the corporate ladder, allows his superiors to use his Upper West Side apartment to conduct their extramarital affairs. He becomes attracted to Fran Kubelik (Shirley MacLaine), an elevator operator in his office building, unaware that she is having an affair with the head of personnel (Fred MacMurray).

The film won five Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Story & Screenplay, Best Art Direction, and Best Film Editing. Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine were both nominated for their acting roles.

The Apartment may not be considered a traditional holiday film, but its story is framed by Christmas and New Years Eve, using the season’s themes to deepen its emotional impact. Set against office parties, tinsel-lined hallways, and the pressure to start the new year right, the film delivers a message of compassion, renewal, and choosing kindness, making it a perfect, if unconventional, Christmas movie.

2026 Anniversary Film Series passes are on sale now and can be purchased via Select-A-Seat, online HERE, by phone at 316.755.SEAT, and in person at the Select-A-Seat Box Office at INTRUST Bank Arena. Series passes include one ticket to each movie in the series and are prorated after each movie.
