Join us for a FREE holiday screening of Scrooge (1935), the first ‘talkie’ film adaptation of A Christmas Carol.

Sir Seymour Hicks stars as Ebenezer Scrooge in Charles Dickens’s timeless classic. Scrooge is mean old miser who wants nothing to do with Christmas, bitterly rejecting the company and well wishes of his fellow man. But on this Christmas Eve, Scrooge’s former partner, Jacob Marley, an invisible but forceful ghostly presence, visits Scrooge to warn him that his time is running short. Throughout the long, cold night, the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future appear to Scrooge, taking him on a journey into the very spirit and magic of Christmas itself.

For years, only truncated versions of this film were in circulation, now the full and restored film is available and this is your chance to experience it on the big screen.

The film will be preceded by two classic holiday short cartoons, including Max Fleischer’s Christmas Comes But Once a Year.

Doors open at 2pm with concessions, hot chocolate bar, and a very special appearance by St. Nick himself. Bring the whole family to experience a holiday classic AND get a picture taken with Santa!
