Seating FAQs

No, unfortunately, you cannot exchange tickets. When buying tickets, you must remember that everyone has access to the same tickets, and these are available through every outlet, over the phone, and online. Sometimes, a buyer does not complete the purchase transaction, and their seats are released back for others to buy.

For most events and concerts, children two years of age and younger do not require a ticket to be admitted into the Orpheum; however, they must sit on an adult’s lap and may not occupy a seat. Any child three years of age and older will require a ticket to enter the theatre and must occupy their ticketed seat only. Please note that some shows (especially those intended for children) will have a different age policy. For more information, please contact Select-A-Seat at (316) 755-SEAT (7328).

When you arrive at the venue, go to the Box Office and request to relocate to ADA seating. Standard policy is one accessible seat plus three guests, but it will depend on the availability of the seats.

No, due to the historical nature of the building, there is no elevator to the mezzanine or balcony levels at the Orpheum Theatre.

However, the theatre offers accessible seating on the orchestra level at various ticket prices. Tickets for these seats are not available to the general public, but are released for sale when no two adjacent seats are available in the given price level. Each guest who requires accessible seating may purchase up to three adjacent seats for companions, subject to availability. Additional party members will be seated nearby or in other seating. Special consideration will be given to families for children’s productions. Please request accessible seating when purchasing your tickets. Accessible seating is available for purchase over the phone through Select-A-Seat at (316) 755.SEAT (7328). Visit our Accessibility page for more information.
