Accessibility
Animals or pets of any kind are prohibited in the Orpheum Theatre, except service animals and service animals in training. Trained service animals, as defined by Title II & Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), are welcome inside the venue, but must remain on a leash or in a harness at all times. Service animals must rest in the seating area of the individual with a disability, rather than in the aisle. A guest whose service animal is not well-behaved or poses a threat to the safety of others may be asked to escort the animal off the premises. Service animals in training are not permitted.
Per ADA, emotional support animals are not considered service animals. For the safety and comfort of all guests and staff, emotional support or therapy animals are not permitted inside the venue.

However, the theatre offers accessible seating on the orchestra level at various ticket prices. Each guest who requires accessible seating may purchase up to three adjacent seats for companions, subject to availability. Additional party members will be seated nearby or in other seating. ADA Parking will be located in the Orpheum lot, in the southernmost row of spaces next to the building. These spaces are first-come, first-served and available on the day of the event. A disabled identification card must be presented upon request if the disabled individual is using any disabled parking privilege. If the disabled individual is not in the vehicle or the disabled individual does not have his or her ID card available upon request, the vehicle is not entitled to use the disabled parking privilege. The owner’s receipt of the application for a TEMPORARY placard shall be carried by the person to whom it is issued when using accessible parking. (K.S.A. 8-1,125). To park closer to the main doors, there is street parking available on First Street, though it is not designated ADA.
While not obligated by law, the Orpheum Performing Arts Centre desires to make reasonable accommodations at the Orpheum Theatre for patrons who are deaf or hearing impaired. An ASL interpreter may be provided, when requested, for spoken word events, and is subject to the availability of ASL interpreters and the consent of each artist. Request for an interpreter must come to the Orpheum Theatre Director no fewer than seven (7) days in advance of the event. Accommodation may only occur as event staging permits, and cannot interfere with the event experience for other patrons.

Most events do not require a ticket for children under the age of two. However, in order for a child to have his or her own seat, a ticket is required. Some shows intended for young children (i.e., PBS Kids touring shows) require children over the age of one to have a ticket. Will Call is a ticketing term for the pickup service where tickets purchased in advance are held at a designated counter for the buyer to collect on the day of the event.
Before the day of the event, Will Call is located at the Select-A-Seat Box Office at INTRUST Bank Arena. On the day of the event, Will Call will be open at the Orpheum Box Office.
If you purchase your tickets close to the date of the show, Select-A-Seat will put your tickets at the box office for you to pick up rather than mailing them. You will need photo identification and the credit card used to purchase the tickets when picking them up from Will Call.
The Orpheum Theatre does not provide tickets to these companies. These sites are “speculating” that the sections they have listed will be available for them to sell. Re-sellers don’t buy tickets themselves. They provide an online marketplace for ticket brokers or individuals looking to sell and consumers looking to buy. To avoid issues with counterfeit, stolen or voided tickets, guests should make their purchases through Select-A-Seat ticket outlets only.

All guests attending events at the Orpheum are required to wear a shirt and shoes at all times for their own safety. The Orpheum security and staff reserve the right to deny entry to or remove guests wearing clothing displaying offensive text or images.

No, the Orpheum is a smoke-free facility. Smoking, including e-cigarettes and vaping, is not allowed inside the theatre, but patrons may exit through the main theatre doors to smoke and will be allowed back in with their ticket.
The Orpheum Theatre has a “no re-entry” policy during events. Guests who wish to return a prohibited item to their vehicle or need to exit and re-enter due to personal emergencies must first make contact with an Orpheum manager or usher to make necessary arrangements.

Baby bags, plastic bottles and formula are permitted into the building. The bag cannot obstruct the view of other guests.

Non-professional, non-flash still photography is permitted at most events (disposable, digital and cameras with no detachable or interchangeable lenses). Note: At the request of the artist/performer/team, cameras of any type may be prohibited at some events. Video recording devices, audio recording devices, monopods, tripods, and cameras with telephoto or interchangeable lenses (professional photography equipment) are not permitted for events inside the Orpheum Theatre. Management reserves the right to deny any electronic device at its discretion; this policy is strictly enforced.

The Orpheum Theatre and its food and beverage department have adopted an alcohol policy that is designed to protect guests and the community from alcohol-related incidents.
Guests are expected to obey all state and local laws governing the purchase, possession and consumption of alcohol. It is illegal for anyone under the age of 21 to consume alcoholic beverages. The following items are to be noted:
- The Orpheum Theatre reserves the right to deny entry to anyone who appears to be impaired.
- Alcoholic beverages are served in nothing larger than 20-ounce containers.
- Guests must show a valid ID each time they purchase an alcoholic beverage.
- There is a two-drink limit per purchase.
- Anyone under the age of twenty-one (21) who is observed to have or have consumed alcohol on the premises will be ejected.
- The Orpheum Theatre implements ongoing responsible alcohol management training sessions for its serving staff.
- For most events, service of alcohol will end 30 minutes before the event ends.
- All alcoholic beverages must be discarded by the guest before exiting the building.
Beer and liquor are available for purchase by patrons 21 years of age and older. Guests are required to show proper identification and proof of age when purchasing alcoholic beverages. Alcohol sales are discontinued approximately 30 minutes before the end of the event.
The Orpheum Theatre serves basic concession items, including Pepsi products, popcorn and candy. A full-service bar is open at most events. Pizza is served by the slice on movie nights.

Safety
The Orpheum Theatre has emergency evacuation plans in place for each event. These plans and emergency systems have been approved by the fire department and law enforcement officials. All staff and security personnel have been trained in theatre operations and emergency response procedures. In the case of an emergency, guests must comply with requests from venue staff regarding these operations.
Yes, all guests entering the Orpheum Theatre are subject to being searched and having their belongings searched. The Orpheum reserves the right to confiscate any items that are prohibited, breach venue policies, or could endanger or disturb other guests. Any guest who declines to be searched may be denied entry or ejected from the Orpheum Theatre.
The Orpheum Theatre staffs both private security and off-duty sheriff’s officers to provide security before, during and after events.
