Having served their country in Iraq and Afghanistan Nichole, Hope, Rachel and Andrea know that, for their sisters-in-arms, the war isn’t over and that many are still not “home.” They are concerned to do something for “the woman and that child who’s sleeping in that car”––an estimated 55,000 homeless women veterans––whose stories mirror their own. They are inspired by Ms. Veteran America’s founder, cancer and Katrina survivor veteran Jas Boothe, formerly herself homeless. Jas sees herself as building a movement and believes “It’s always women who have brought a change for women.
